Spread the Word: Bring a Friend and Get $100! You can earn a one-time $100 credit towards your camper registration for 2026 by referring a new family to CAMPMET. Here is how it works:

  • Invite: Invite a new family to sign up for camp.

  • Identify: When they fill out the registration form, have them type your full name into the referral field.

  • Earn: Once they complete their full registration, we will apply a $100 credit towards your camper registration for 2026 as a huge thank-you!

II. Our Mission & Values

4. What is the mission of Camp Metamorphosis Ontario?

Camp Metamorphosis Ontario is a non-profit youth program rooted in the Orthodox Christian faith and enriched by Hellenic culture. Our mission is to help young people grow spiritually, socially, and personally in a safe and nurturing environment. Through the pillars of Faith, Friends, and Fun, campers return home with lasting memories, a deeper love for their faith, and stronger bonds with their community.

5. My child is nervous about not knowing anyone; how will they make friends?

This is a very common concern. From the first day, campers are welcomed into a warm, inclusive environment. Through group activities, worship services, shared mealtimes, and team games, we gently encourage campers to connect. Many arrive knowing no one and leave with lifelong friends. We encourage parents to trust in the supportive community we foster here.

III. Registration & Cancellation Policy

6. How do I register for the 2026 season?

Registration is a strict two-step process that must be completed in order:

  • PART A: Camper Payment – You must complete the payment first. If you cannot submit the form, the session is likely full, and you will be placed on a waiting list.

  • PART B: Camper Medical & Info – After Part A is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to Part B. This must be completed immediately to secure your spot.

  • Note: Failure to complete both parts will result in a declined registration and a refunded payment (minus administrative fees).

7. What is the Cancellation and Refund Policy?

  • Submission: Requests must be submitted via email to campmet@gmail.com.

  • Deadline: Requests must be received on or before June 26th, 2026.

  • Refund Details: Refunds are issued less a $150 non-refundable administrative deposit per camper.

  • Final Cut-off: NO REFUNDS will be issued for any reason after June 26th, 2026.

IV. Fees & Logistics

9. What are the policies regarding attendance and early departure?

  • Late Arrivals/Early Departures: No fee reductions or refunds are granted for partial attendance.

  • Voluntary Withdrawal: No prorated refunds are issued for campers who choose to leave early.

V. Life at Camp

10. How are cabins organized?

Campers are grouped by age and gender:

  • Junior Campers: Ages 10–14

  • Senior Campers: Ages 15–18

Each cabin is supervised by at least two trained leaders who live alongside the campers and participate in all activities.

11. What kind of meals are provided?

We provide three balanced meals daily. Our facilities are nut-free, and we accommodate dietary restrictions.

  • Tuck Shop: Campers can buy treats (candy, chips, freezies). We recommend providing $20–$50 for the week. This cash is collected upon arrival and placed in a personal account to prevent loss.

  • Fasting: In keeping with Orthodox tradition, we observe a light fast (no meat) on Wednesdays and Fridays. Satisfying vegetarian/dairy-based alternatives are always provided.

12. What is the policy on cell phones?

Cell phones are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to confiscate devices for the duration of camp. This policy ensures campers remain engaged with the program and their peers without digital distractions.

VI. Health & Safety

13. How are medical needs and emergencies handled?

The safety and well-being of our campers are our highest priorities. Our medical protocols are designed to ensure professional care and clear communication with families:

  • Medication Management: All medications (both prescription and over-the-counter) must be surrendered to our medical staff upon arrival. To ensure safety and accuracy, our team handles the storage and administration of all medicine as required.

  • Asthma & Severe Allergies: Campers who use an inhaler should keep it on their person at all times. For campers with severe, life-threatening allergies, we require three (3) EpiPens to be provided: one to be carried by the camper at all times, and two to be kept with the medical staff as backups.

  • Emergency Medical Care: In the rare event that a camper sustains an injury requiring professional hospital care, parents or guardians will be notified immediately. Our team will provide consistent updates regarding your child's status and any necessary follow-up care.

  • Illness Protocol: To maintain a healthy environment for all, any camper who becomes significantly ill may be required to be picked up from camp. These decisions are made at the professional discretion of our Medical Coordinator.

14. How are volunteer staff selected and trained? Our leadership team is the backbone of the Camp Met experience. We take great care in selecting a diverse and dedicated group of mentors to guide our campers:

  • A Diverse Leadership Team: Our volunteer staff is comprised of energetic university and college students, many of whom are former campers returning to give back to the community. They are joined by "youth leaders" and professionals from a wide variety of career backgrounds, bringing a wealth of life experience and maturity to our program.

  • Background Check: Every volunteer staff candidate undergoes a thorough selection process, which includes mandatory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks to ensure the highest standard of safety.

  • Comprehensive Training: Before camp begins, all leaders participate in an intensive orientation program. Training modules include:

    • Code of Conduct: A deep dive into our mission, rules, and professional boundaries.

    • Health & Safety: Standardized training in First Aid, emergency protocols, and crisis management.

    • Childcare Excellence: Orientation includes, youth leadership, mentorship, and childcare best practices to ensure every camper feels supported and included.

VII. Rules & Expectations

15. What are the behavioral expectations?

Campers are required to strictly adhere to the Code of Conduct reviewed and signed during the Camper Registration process. This code will be reviewed collectively with campers upon arrival at camp. In the event that a camper demonstrates persistent difficulty respecting camp regulations or staff authority, they will be subject to immediate dismissal and sent home at the sole expense of the parents or guardians. Furthermore, parents assume full financial responsibility for any physical damage or vandalism caused by their child to the camp facilities, buses or personal property of other campers and staff.

16. What if my child loses an item?

Camp Met is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please label all clothing and luggage (including sleeping bags). Do not send valuables or expensive electronics.

17. How are photos and videos used?

We document the week for our website and promotional materials. If you have concerns, please contact the Camp Director. Campers are welcome to bring digital cameras (not cell phones) to take their own photos.
