Live The Faith
Camp Metamorphosis Ontario is a week-long program designed to help campers truly “Live the Faith.”
Throughout the week, participants engage in a variety of activities, events, and worship services that bring faith to life in meaningful and practical ways. Campers are expected to take part in all aspects of the program and are supported every step of the way by their fellow campers and dedicated counselors.
Program Highlights
Orthodox Life (O.L.)
In this session, campers explore what it means to “Live the Faith” more deeply. Priests, presbyteres, and seminarians lead discussions, answer questions, and guide participants in discovering the richness of the Orthodox Christian tradition.
Arts & Crafts / Iconography
Campers express their creativity while making icons, crosses, picture frames, and other projects. By working with different materials, they develop their artistic skills while connecting their creativity to their faith.
Greek Culture & Hymnology
This session introduces campers to Greek history and traditional dance, exploring the diverse regions of Greece. In addition, campers and counselors experience the beauty of Orthodox hymnology and chanting, learning how music shapes worship.
Athletics & Aquatics
A wide range of activities are offered to encourage teamwork, fitness, and fun. Campers can enjoy soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, archery, and other team-building games. Aquatic activities include swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, and water sliding—available both during sessions and free time.
Social Orthodox Christians (S.O.C.)
Here, campers engage with current events and world issues through the lens of Orthodox Christianity, reflecting on how faith influences the way we respond to the challenges of today’s world.
Walk with God
This session combines hiking and wilderness exploration with learning basic survival skills. Campers also develop a deeper respect and appreciation for God’s creation while spending time in nature.
✨ Worship Services
Each day begins with Orthros and concludes with Vespers, grounding the camp experience in prayer. On Thursday, the Divine Liturgy is celebrated outdoors, and throughout the week, campers have the opportunity to participate in the sacrament of Holy Confession—an experience embraced by many each year.
🎉 Other Activities
Camp also features a variety of special events, including the Annual Olympics, Contest Night, Scavenger Hunt, Song & Skit Night, Fireside Chats, Poetry Night, Karaoke, Dance, and Stargazing. Senior campers also take part in an overnight camp-out, creating lasting memories and bonds.
